Sometimes when you try to authorize a cc or post payment, you'll automatically get an error message right away (it happens instantly so nothing pops up on the payment terminal):
"Transaction Request Failed"
The request is invalid. An error has occurred

After debugging the issue with a technical support guy, we figured out that the reservation name (not name under payment info - but the name for the reservation only) had quotes in his middle name, and that was causing the fullsteam page to throw an error without giving a more detailed description.
The other scenerio we ran into in the past was a WiFi router going down for a short period of time (the same router the payment terminal's hard-wired to) and there'll be an error that pops up right away with no technical description other than it failed. We found that power-cycling the terminal after a wifi router goes down corrects this issue.
If there's no error code defined yet for certain situations - it would be helpful if there was at least some information of what went wrong on the back-end process. Would help debug the issue further since these error messages are too generic.
