Currently, if you open a New Reservation window to, for example, check pricing for a prospective guest, RoomKey assigns this instance the next available reservation ID#. If you do not finalize the reservation and use 'Cancel' to close the window, the ID# is recycled and all of the Activity Log information is retained.
The next reservation that is created will re-use the same reservation ID# as the last, and the Activity Log will show both instances of the reservation being created, modified, services added, etc.
This is problematic as management may use the Activity Log to investigate errors and coach or discipline agents. Because this unneeded information from past versions of the reservation ID# are included on the Activity Log, it can be difficult to tell when a reservation was actually created, who modified it, etc.
Is it possible to have RoomKey clear any information pertaining to a reservation ID# if the reservation is not finalized?
