There is an ability to mark a guest 'do not rent' in the guest profile, but what exactly does that do? Nothing. You are still able to make a reservation for them. There needs to be a blocking mechanism in place where if you are trying to book a room for them it is stopped.
How would you rate the importance of this idea? | Would help but is not 100% necessary |
Perhaps a detection code that will run a check for DNR with the same last name to pop-up?
Do Not Rent is very important to have. Someone on the Do Not Rent should be flagged with trying to make a reservation at the hotel. Not just the name needs to be cross checked but the phone number and address should also be compared.
As an additional note, we have had sexual harassment issues with guests and as a safety for our staff, Do Not Rent is critical.
This should also factor in eRez. If someone books online and potentially matches a DNR, it should flag a task for the reservation supervisor to review & cancel if necessary.
Great to hear this is on the road! Currently, I am faced with the same situation with our 'Do Not Rent' guests. There also needs to be more documentation on this. I do not see any search results from roomkey support centre when searching 'do not rent'.
We understand the request and agree that, beyond a "label", it makes sense to also use a control within the system. We're in the middle of improving the core guest data we capture as part of our work to improve the guest profile merging functionality. As part of the work to revist the core reservation part of RoomKeyPMS we will factor this feature in to tie the ability to reserve with the knowledge of known guest profiles where they have been flagged as "Do Not Rent". Rebecka: we also acknowledge this label should be utilized within the marketing side of things too. Please refer to roadmap.roomkeypms.com for information regarding what the team is currently building, designing and considering, thanks all of you for your continued input.
This would be an excellent feature if it was available.
Also, there should be a selection for guests marked as "do not rent" when doing an export of guest profiles. We do email marketing to our guests and just found out that promotional emails have been going out to these guests.
This is a HUGE issue....
