Ideas for RoomKeyPMS

The goal of this portal is to:

  1. Collect your suggestions and ideas on RoomKeyPMS features
  2. To better understand your priorities   
  3. Review your ideas when planning the RoomKeyPMS roadmap

Preauth two cards in guest share reservation

At (or after) guest check-in, we would like to be able to preauthorize
multiple credit cards for the same room. At this point we have to
preauthorize one roommate for the full room charges, even though they will
only be paying half the amount. This forces us to manually post payments,
rather than being able to post payments for Guest Shares during check-out.
We also sometimes run into the problem of a credit card having a limit
below the full amount, for which being able to preauthorize a second card
would be useful.

    Thank you for your suggestion!  

    Currently with the structure of authorizations, we can only have one authorization per room.  With the changes to PCI Compliance and EMV (Chip and Pin) in the works now, we are looking at different ways to store the credit cards.

    We do a release every 56 days and based on the needs of all our customers this feature idea will go into our product planning process.
