Currently we have asked our associates to not use the wait-list feature. Here's why; for every cancellation that comes in the agent would have to go to the waitlist and check to see if there's a reservation waiting. That includes 3rd party cancellations that we may not even be ware of.
Solution should a reservation get cancelled the system checks the waitlist and popups automatically in the event of a match.
2nd best solution make the waitlist feature a selectable feature of whether you want it or not.
Guests assume that if they are on the wait-list that it will be closely monitored - we just don't have the time for that.
