Our property, Tideline Ocean Resort and Spa signed up for Roomkey as our property management last January 2018. It has been tough that any of the front desk clerk can post charges to a checked out reservation and can leave this as is as unbalanced folio.
It would be a great idea rather than generating the unbalance folio report to have a permission of any desk clerks that they are not able to close this reservation when there is unbalance folios.
For instance, desk clerk posted a Restaurant charge of $10. Then guest credit card declined. The desk clerk just left this as is without reversing the posted charges. An idea of having an error message that pops up like: UNBALANCED FOLIO, UNABLE TO CLOSE THE ACCOUNT.
