I often use the same rate code for different groups staying over the same dates. I just override the rate for the new group so that it doesn't change the other groups rates. BUT if one group arrives the day before and there is no rate loaded for that date I have to load that day in Rate Wizard and load the other days as a rate override in the group module. This is annoying to have to load in 2 different places. Should be able to use the override rate in the group module and if there is nothing loaded for that date then it loads it anyway.
How would you rate the importance of this idea? | Would help but is not 100% necessary |
Good afternoon,
Thank you for bringing forth your idea.
The "Override Attached Rate" is a feature meant to override any default rate plan that is attached to the specific group. The rate plan must have a rate amount implemented in order to override if the rate plan has no rate amount inputted on the specific day (Red Calendar)
then there will be nothing to override. If a rate plan is left with no rates as well, this will mean that it's a inactive rate plan for those days. It wouldn't be available on any module that requires a rate plan in RoomKeyPMS.
If you require additional assistance, please do not hesitate in contacting our RoomKeyPMS Technical Support Team at 1-800-234-5695 option 3 then 1 from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm PST, Monday to Friday .
Thanks,

Have you tried entering a "master" group rate for the whole season/year and then using the override option as necessary?
Thant way you always have a rate for any given day, and just need to make adjustments when you use the override..
