Thank you for bringing forth your idea.
As mentioned by “robert@oceanfrontcowichanbay.com” in the previous comment, using Advanced Search (Search -> Advanced Search) as long as the user stays logged in, RoomKeyPMS will save the results of the last search performed. Therefore, you will not have to keep searching and loose your spot where it will always prompt up the historical search results

It will do what you ask, if you use the Advance Search, from the Search drop down menu .
It holds your last search and even keeps the little black > in the left most column to indicate the last reservation you were working on.
