When adding card information in "Extra Cards" under "Guest Info", instead of Manually entering it, is there a way to swipe the card?

It would be useful to help cut down the check in time.  The customer and GSA would benefit from it to help with the efficiency of the check in. Instead of manually typing it in you would swipe it,  just like you can for adding the main credit card in "Guest Info"

    Hello All,

We have just released a new build that has a lot of enhancements to swiping credit cards allowing you to swipe in places where you used to have to manually type it in. Version 8.23.0.3 is now available at support.roomkeypms.com.

Working with an integrated payment provider typically leads to much faster payment processing and when paired with an EMV terminal from one of our supported partners, you get added security, less liability, and generally lower rates than with manually entered transactions. Unfortunately, there is always a fee charged by the payment providers for credit processing so although there may be some setup and hardware fees, most businesses find an overall reduction in payment processing costs relatively quickly. This can add up to substantial savings.

We can also recommend some lower cost hardware that will give you the benefits of swiping credit cards but with out the EMV aspects that can reduce initial costs and still lead to speed and cost savings.

Feel free to reach out to our support team for more information :)

You can have a swipe option but you have to purchase extra hardware/software, pay a set up fee and pay a percentage of every transaction :-(

It is not safe to key enter credit cards.  Swiping should be implemented to adhere to PCI compliance.
