Inventory for the Guest Services module would allow properties to limit how many cots, or cribs, or any other type of guest service that the property has. This would be useful for all staff at the property, but would mainly be used by Reservation and Front Desk Agents. When allowing Guest Services to be reserved through online platforms currently the property runs the risk of having to many requests for a certain guest service.
Example: If the property only has 4 cribs there is currently no control in place to prevent the system from allowing staff or online booking to reserve 5 or 6 cribs.
In order to set this up there would need to be a quantity feature with every guest service created. I would recommend a check box that allows the user to select if there is a limited quantity of the service. If the box is checked then an entry box would be highlighted for the limited quantity to be entered. If the box is left unchecked the system would default to the unlimited quantity. My recommendation would be to make this a daily feature, meaning that the quantity limits are set for the properties daily counts.
Example: If the quantity entered is 4 cribs then the system would not allow more than 4 cribs to be used/reserved each day.
