Ideas for RoomKeyPMS

The goal of this portal is to:

  1. Collect your suggestions and ideas on RoomKeyPMS features
  2. To better understand your priorities   
  3. Review your ideas when planning the RoomKeyPMS roadmap  
  4. Update you on the features being considered and implemented in future releases

Auto delete reservations without deposits

This is a win-win.

A guest calls and makes a reservation. The hotel policy is that a room can be held for x hours/days without a deposit. If the client does not call back and authorize the hotel to charge their credit card, the reservation will be auto deleted.

A hotel can turn this feature off permanently, or a hotel can keep this reservation active. This policy would only apply to reservations made directly with the property.

Many clients do not want their credit card charged the mandatory deposit until they can arrange their flights. There might be limited availability in a room type and the client wants to put a temporary hold on the room so they do not lose it, but understand they have a finite about of time to pay their deposit before the reservation is auto deleted.

As it stands, we need to keep a separate system in Outlook that does pop up reminders to go back into RoomKey and check to see if a deposit has been paid and then take action on a reservation that has been created.

This would be an extremely useful feature to add to RoomKey.
